Be careful with < and >
The first version of my last post didn't come out so well. Basically, using "< u" (without the space) started an underline and "< x" (without the space) disappeared. In retrospect, using notation other than < , > for inner product is probably a good idea since html uses greater than and less than for tags. (Using & followed by "lang" and "rang" probably would have also worked...)
